As an actress, I play the Kentucky Barmaid in the feature film Kingsmen 2: The Golden Circle (late 2017 release) and I'm in an upcoming episode of the BBC's crime drama Silent Witness (New Season 2018). On October 6th, we performed live to great success a new solo piece for one voice at the Philip Glass Center in Carmel, California: Is Infinity Odd or Even? (Music by Philip Glass. Words by Arturo Bejar). The world premiere of the piece was part of Philip Glass's Days and Nights Festival 2017 and an incredible line up of musicians played the score accompanying the text and songs I performed as the soloist: Alex Weill (violin) Matt Haimovitz (cello) David Harding (viola) Lavinia Meijer (harp) Alex Weston (conductor) and Philip Glass (piano)! Look out for a recording of Is Infinity Odd or Even and future live performances. The second part of the evening was poet Jerry Quickley and myself reciting Jerry's Whistleblower accompanied by Glass and his ensemble. The annual festival, which also included Laurie Anderson and Ira Glass, is unique and special. Jim Woodard and his crew run it with hands on support and performances by Philip Glass. I urge anyone that loves the arts, science, philosophy and the environment to support this unique center. For more information about the Days and Nights Festival: http://philipglasscenter.org
